About

Dr. Earnest L. Shannon has worked in Christian ministry for over 20 years, serving as a deacon, Christian outreach coordinator, hospital chaplain, and associate minister. A native of Elizabeth City, NC, he also lived in Hampton Roads, Virginia for approximately 15 years.

Pastor Shannon earned his Bachelor of Science degree in organizational leadership and management, Master of Divinity and Master of Business Administration degrees from Regent University. At Regent, he was awarded the Pastoral Scholarship. In 2019, Pastor Shannon completed his Doctor of Ministry degree from the Rawlings School of Divinity at Liberty University, where he was also a recipient of the Reed Scholarship.

Pastor Shannon has been married to the former Lavon Elliott for over thirty one years. They have three outstanding sons: Earnest III, Jordan, and Nehemiah, and God also blessed them with the opportunity to raise their nephew Aaron. The Shannons have also been blessed with three handsome grandsons: Ezra, Zaire, and Earnest IV.

Pastor Shannon also serves as the CEO of Joshua’s House, LLC, a nonprofit that helps honorable homeless veterans locate and maintain permanent housing.
